The Association of Bay Area Governments, the Bay Area Council, and Bay Area public, private sector, and non-profit organizations, and regional agencies and associations are collaborating to develop a Bay Area Regional Disaster Resilience Action Plan focusing on recovery and restoration after major disasters and incidents.

In addition to assistance with your personal challenges, this site contains business-specific information. It outlines the types of assistance available to businesses, including financial aid, tax relief and help in managing business affairs after a disaster. It also provides guidance on emergency preparedness and a checklist called "Back To Business - What To Do After A Disaster."

GENERAL PREPARATIONS:

Seventeen federal agencies have gotten together to create a one-stop shopping website to help those who have been impacted by a disaster. The new site, DisasterAssistance.gov, contains a number of interactive tools. These tools help you to determine what federal assistance is available and to apply for it online. By consolidating the assistance available from numerous sources, it eases the task of getting help when recovering from a disaster.

As part of your business continuity plan we know that you understand that all disasters (from a fire in your business to a natural disaster) have one thing in common: if your business is impacted, you'll almost certainly need help.
