Circle Bank Reports Increase in Quarterly Net Income, New Hiring

Circle Bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Circle Bancorp, reported net income of $510,000 for the quarter ended June 30, 2010,

an increase of 38.6 percent compared to the results of the corresponding quarter in 2009. For the first six months of 2010, Circle Bank reported net income of $1,091,000, compared to $846,000 for the same period in 2009, an increase of 28.9 percent.

Circle Bank also announces hiring of veteran marketing executive Alan Gaul for the newly-created position of senior vice president of marketing. In his new position, Gaul, a Fairfax resident, will report to Kimberly Kaselionis, CEO/president of the Bank. Gaul, who has more than two decades of experience in marketing and sales support activities, was most recently director of client management for San Francisco-based Intrax Cultural Exchange. Additionally, the Fairfax resident has previously held a series of increasingly more senior positions at Levi Strauss and Green Point Financial.
