League Program Focuses on Ballot Measures

The League of Women Voters of Marin County kicks off its new year Thursday, September 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross,

with a program featuring nationally recognized public policy expert and author Fred Silva speaking on governance and fiscal issues raised by a number of upcoming November ballot measures. The League will present its “Bunny Lucheta Memorial Award”, honoring outstanding public service to the Marin community, to Michael Smith, who is retiring this year as the county’s Treasurer/Tax Collector/County Clerk/Public Administrator.
