New Board Leadership takes over at San Rafael Chamber
San Rafael - The San Rafael Chamber recently announced several new Officers and Directors. Richard Kalish has been named 2012 Board Chair. He follows Laura Bertolli, who took over in July 2011 as Board Chair. Bertolli stepped in while Gary Phillips took a leave of absence in order to focus on his mayoral campaign. The responsibilities of the Board Chair include working to strengthen the local economy, representing the interest of businesses to government, leading the volunteer Board of Directors as well as being a spokesperson for the Chamber. Kalish is an attorney with Kalish, Nexon & Birnbaum LLP in San Rafael. He is also a member of Rotary Club of San Rafael and on the Board of Directors of the Marin Symphony.

Chair Elect - Laura Bertolli, Bertolli's Auto Body Inc.
Treasurer - Lorraine Gauthier, Nelson Family of Companies
Secretary - Jack Diego, Diego Bros Inc.
Divisional Vice Chairs elected for 2012 are:
Member Services - Maureen Keefe, Dominican University of California
Member Communication - Mark Schmidt, Unicorn Group
Economic Sustainability - Mark Carrington, Cornish and Carey
Community Promotion - Jerry Tallman, Minuteman Press of Marin
Governmental Affairs - Joshua Townsend, Pacific Gas and Electric
The Chamber also announced the addition of two new Directors for 2012:
Bonnie Ayers Namkung - SEO Copywriter
Carol Harris - Kaiser Permanente
