Thirteen premier restaurants will join Homeward Bound of Marin to offer the sixth annual “Dine Out to End Hunger” event on Thursday, Nov. 18.
The partner restaurants, led by Insalata’s and Marinitas in San Anselmo, will donate 20 percent of dinner revenue on that date to Homeward Bound’s programs for homeless men, women and children in Marin. To participate, diners simply make reservations as usual and enjoy the evening – no coupons or sign-up lists!
Other restaurant partners include Dream Farm in San Anselmo; Brick & Bottle, Il Fornaio and Pacific Catch in Corte Madera; Piatti Ristorante & Bar and Pizza Antica in Mill Valley; Rickey’s Restaurant in Novato; The Station House Café in Point Reyes Station; The Tavern at Lark Creek and Yankee Pier in Larkspur; and Vin Antico in San Rafael.
This annual event is part of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, which involves nationwide activities that include a walkathon on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
Homeward Bound of Marin is the county’s primary provider of shelter and services for homeless families and individuals, serving approximately 1,400 men, women and children per year. Services include counseling and job-training programs like the Fresh Starts Culinary Academy.
