Texas Hold 'Em

The San Rafael Chamber announces its first Texas Hold'Em Poker Tournament & BBQ! You don't have to be a seasoned poker player to join in the fun! Place your bets on the future of those that need us the most. Proceeds will benefit community Action Marin C.A.R.E. team; helping the homeless mentally ill find the resources they need.

  • $75 buy-in Chamber members and guests (includes Texas bbq)

Business Showcase
 

Winner of the NorthBay BEST Award, this annual September premier event showcases the products, services, and ideas of the Chamber Member businesses to the business community and the general public.  Average cost for Exhibitors varies depending on booth category. The 2013 Business Showcase will be held on Wednesday, September 11th at Embassy Suites, San Rafael. Tradeshow & Announcements 4:00-7:30pm.

New Teacher Welcome 2013 held at the November Mixer



Event to welcome new techers to our community and support the mission of the Chamber Education Committee: to identify, promote and support common goals by fostering understanding, cooperation and collaboration between the business and education communities. Each teacher is introduced and given a goody bag of supplies doanted by Chamber member businesses at the October mixer on Wednesday, October 9th, 5-7pm at Infinit Marin, 475 Francisco Blvd., San Rafael.

Annual event featuring esteemed keynote and panel speakers discussing the local and county economy. The 10th Annual Forecasting the Future Economic Conference TBA

Excellence in Education Recognitions 2012-2013 held at the May Mixer



Event to recognize exceptional professionals in the local Educational arena.  The Chamber Education Committee has honored over 100 deserving recipients with these awards over the past 15 years of sponsorship. The committee consists of education leaders from the San Rafael and Dixie Districts, Dominican University and College of Marin. The business members include representatives from businesses with a long history of supporting education and individual members passionate about the interests of business and education. 
Six educators will be selected and recognized in 2012-2013. Each honoree will be listed in the Marin Independent Journal as an Educator of the Month November-April and all honorees will be recognized at the May Mixer on Wednesday, May 8th, 5-7pm at Cornish & Carey Commercial, 1101 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael.


State of the City Awards Dinner


Annual event, also known as "Taste of San Rafael" with the City of San Rafael, with a "State of City" address by Mayor Gary Phillips and an awards ceremony to celebrate Citizen of the Year, Employee of the Year, and the Small and Large Businesses of the Year and Green Business of the Year.The Taste of San Rafael will include samples of culinary creations by Chamber member restaurants and caterers. Cocktails are served, along with dinner and program. Winners will be announced at the event on Thursday, March 14th at the Embassy Suites, 6:00-9:00pm.

"Business After 5" Networking Mixers


 Hosted by a Chamber Member on the second Wednesday of each month, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, during every month of the year except month of Business Showcase.  Admission is complimentary for members.  Prospective members are encouraged to contact the Chamber to be placed on Guest List.  $20 for all other Non-Members.
